Festival of Trees

So… yesterday we had two fails. Firstly, Carla was supposed to do Taekwondo demo performance, but it was cancelled at the last minute. Secondly, we bought groupon to eat at a Thai restaurant close to the venue where Carla was supposed to do the performance, but when we got there, the restaurant was closed!

Fun in the Snow

Hello everyone!

In winter, Carla and Renan enjoy playing outside in the snow. We usually go to a small hill close to our house. It’s a great place for sledding/tobogganing, and we just have to walk for around ten minutes to get there. Oh, there’s also a “natural slide”, an icy path on the hill that the kids love.

Having spent almost ten years in Singapore, we really had no idea about winter. We knew though, that Canadian winter could be very harsh, so one of the first things we did when we came here was to find out about how to dress properly for winter.
