It’s almost end of October, winter is coming soon… Only one or two more weeks left to enjoy the beautiful autumn season, before everything turns white with snow.
The best way to really enjoy autumn is going for a walk through the forest, of course! It feels amazing to walk on a path covered in fallen leaves, surrounded by trees and plants with vibrantly coloured leaves.
Rutherford House was the home of the first Premier of Alberta, Alexander Cameron Rutherford, and his family. Today, it is designated as an Alberta historic site that offers visitors a glimpse of life in the early 20th century with costumed interpreters, guided tours and special events.
It’s been almost three months since we left Singapore. So far, so good. We are all settling in nicely and enjoying our new life in Canada. However, we came to the conclusion that regarding entertainment and family activities, Edmonton is quite expensive! Apart from playgrounds (thankfully we have plenty of great playgrounds here), we haven’t found free or inexpensive places to enjoy with the kids.
That’s why we were happy when we found out that there was Free Admission Day in Edmonton last week.
There were quite a few options for Free Admission Day, but we finally decided to go to Edmonton Valley Zoo.
