Just a quick post about a nice restaurant in Batu, a small city on the hills, next to Malang.
The restaurant is called Waroeng Bamboe. It serves traditional Indonesian food, but while the food is good, what we like about the restaurant is the ambience.
Parts of the restaurant are built on stilts over a large fish pond, so you can enjoy your food while watching the fish.
Carla and Renan loved feeding the fish…. You can buy fish food there at the restaurant.
Papai even put his feet in the pond… Some of the fish looked big enough to be able to swallow his toes, haha…. The water felt rather cold since it came straight from a natural spring nearby. The air also felt cool and fresh.
I forgot to take pictures of our lunch *since I’m not a food blogger* but at least you can see how we had our lunch there…. We ate sitting on the mat while enjoying the scenery… Very relaxing!
Waroeng Bamboe is located on Jalan Raya Selecta, Batu, East Java. From the main street, you have to walk a bit past a few houses until you see this unassuming gate. Just go inside, the restaurant is there….
That’s all for now….
