Children’s Garden at Gardens by the Bay

Yesterday we went to Children’s Garden at Gardens by the Bay.

We took the bus to Holland Village, and then MRT all the way to Bayfront. It took us around 40 minutes and we had to change train a few times, but Carla and Renan really enjoyed the journey.

Since it was almost midday when we got to Bayfront, we went to have lunch first at the really posh mall in Marina Bay Sands, The Shoppes.

After lunch, we went for a walk a bit in the mall and then went outside. We walked along the big pond full of beautiful water lilies all the way to ArtScience Museum.

Look at the water lilies, so beautiful!

And what an interesting view, a water lily pond with Singapore’s skyline at the background.

We went inside the museum to have a look a bit, and then walked all the way to Gardens by the Bay and went straight to Children’s Garden. We decided to try the water play first.

Carla and Renan had so much fun there, and Papai too!

There is an amphitheatre with a covered canopy close to the water play area. It’s great, since you can see the whole water play area from there, so you can sit and relax a bit while the kids are playing.

Finally the kids decided to stop playing in the water play area, and we went to explore other areas of the Children’s Garden.

We went to the Rainforest Treehouses first, next to the water play area. If your kids like climbing, they’ll love this place.

Next stop, the Adventure Trail, with a lot of play structures that are great for active kids!

Look, it’s Spider-Carla!

We heard that there was also a toddler play area in the Children’s Garden, but we didn’t go there since the kids were starting to get tired and hungry. It was also still incredibly hot and humid at almost five o’clock in the afternoon.

We decided to get something to eat, so we went to Hill Street Coffee Shop at Supertree Dining. We had chicken satays, rojak and ice kachang…. Nothing beats ice kachang on a super hot day like yesterday:)

We had so much fun at the Children’s Garden. We surely will come back there and we still have to explore other parts of Gardens by the Bay as well.

The Children’s Garden is open everyday from 9 am to 9 pm, closed on Mondays. Admission is free.
