Last January Carla and Mamae went to see a theatre production for children. We had so much fun and we were so impressed by the performance. So, when we heard that there would be another theatre production for children playing this April, we decided to buy the tickets immediately.
The play is called How to Catch a Star, based on a book by Oliver Jeffers. It’s presented by Blunderbus, a children’s theatre company from the UK.
We haven’t read the book, but I guess it’s about a boy who likes watching the stars and wants to catch one. According to sistic website, the play is a “funny, gentle retelling” of the book, that offers “irresistible blend of music, puppetry and storytelling”. Sounds good. We’ll see. I will write a review after we watch the play.
Anyway, the play will start this Thursday, 24 April, and the last show will be on Sunday, 27 April. The venue is SOTA (School of the Arts) Drama Theatre, next to The Cathay, off Bras Basah Road. So, if you want to watch it, hurry! Go to the nearest sistic counter or go to sistic website. Tickets are $42, $52, $62.
